Head of Studio — South Side Studios (Dallas)

Type: Full-time, salaried | Location: Dallas, TX (on-site required)

South Side Studios — the 11-acre, 70,000 sq ft stage facility at 2901 Botham Jean Blvd. — is hiring senior leadership. The Head of Studio owns studio revenue, bookings, and production partnerships. Responsibilities: hit annual revenue targets, build a production pipeline, manage stage occupancy across all facilities, report to the board on financials.

The studio has hosted Cruel Summer, Atonement (Kenneth Branagh, Boyd Holbrook), and Queen of the South. This is a real hire for a real role at a facility that just made a major renovation investment and is looking to scale.

Conference Director — Austin Film Festival (Austin)

Type: Full-time contract | Start: April 1, 2026 | Location: Austin

AFF's Conference Director programs the annual Writers Conference — over 175 panels in four days — plus year-round programming. This person works across Film, Screenplay, and Development departments and manages invited speakers, moderators, and panel scheduling. They also help produce the Festival Program Book.

AFF's conference is one of the most respected screenplay-focused industry events in the country. This role shapes the programming that draws working writers to Austin every October.

Registration Director — Austin Film Festival (Austin)

Type: Contract | Dates: August 1 – December 1, 2026 | Pay: $795/week | Location: Austin (in-person only)

The Registration Director manages all attendee registration — database (FileMaker Pro), check-in materials, badge production, accounting, and a registration team. Peak intensity is in the weeks leading up to and during the Festival (Oct 29 – Nov 5, 2026).

$795/week, 40 hrs/week with extra hours during festival period. No remote. Local applicants preferred.
